Keno Strategies That Make Money

It might not commonly be thought of as the most lucrative game in the universe of wagering, but keno has huge amounts of zealous followers. And it should! It’s a routinely entertaining lottery-ish game that’s easy to play, readily available in lots of different formats, and one that can return millions for people who master its heaps of subtle rules. But let’s begin with the basic facts here.

When defining keno to amateurs, some gambling masters compare it to the lottery. This is at least nearly apt, in that each game is generally numerical. However, to take that comparison too far can be to miscalculate the innumerable unique traits that make keno so entertaining. Unlike bingo, keno gamblers have the power to select the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the player is furnished with an increased level of personal responsibility by being able to select as many (or as few) numbers as he thinks is appropriate. And it doesn’t take a genius to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your picked numbers with a standardpen like you had when you were in grade 3.

After you have marked your numbers, carry your game card back to the person at the keno stand. The nice person will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t misplace this (potentially) valuable bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your mug and wants help out, without a winning slip with you, you will collect exactly $.00 for your efforts.

So, there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno slip. Let’s move to something a tiny bit more advanced, ok?

Now that you’ve picked your numbers, get yourself into a comfortable keno booth and watch the action take place on the big keno monitor. That’s where the winning numbers show up for all to see. If you selected winning numbers, mark your card appropriately. Make sure not to dilly dally, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You are required to get back to the keno booth to redeem your winnings, and then a new keno game will likely start within five minutes.

Strategy number two: always be sure to get back to the keno booth on time!

Assuming you can’t trust yourself to beat that 5 minute deadline each and every time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty cards. When the maximum amount of rounds (the same as the amount of tickets) is completed, you should then get off your lazy butt and go get your winnings.

Yet another alternative is referred to as a "stray and play" keno card, which generally lets you make number picks for 30 rounds or more. Golly, you can take all the time in the world and not have to fret about getting back in time to get your winnings. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!

And now you are aware of a few necessary methods for winning keno. If you are an advanced player, they might appear to be quite obvious. Still, it doesn’t hurt to brush up on the fundamentals, and if you are a newbie player, every bit of advice will help make your keno playing more enjoyable.
